Audio Express has a store that had some major water flow problems. As quality pavers and estimators, our #1 concern is water flow. Water is the biggest threat to asphalt. It is the cause of pot holes, spider-web cracking, base failures, walking hazards (when the water becomes ice), not to mention it is unsightly.
When St. Louis Paving estimators bid a lot, we design the new lot in a way that allows water to move to storm sewers or off the property altogether. The paving crew does everything possible to facilitate this. As you can see from these before and after pictures, we solved their water problem by digging out the area where water settled and re-graded the area so that water would flow to the storm sewer in the middle of the lot.
